Start Each Day with a Grateful Heart

February is heart healthy month!

Recent studies continue to emphasize the connection between the heart and mind, reminding us that optimism and a positive attitude are necessary to remain heart happy!!

People with positive attitudes live longer (with less disease) and are more likely to practice healthy habits than those who don’t. THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING!

So along with my 21 Day Fix&21DF Extreme challenge group this month, my challengers and I are doing 21 days of Gratitude. We not only rate ourselves on our workouts and eating, but also our attitudes and sharing what we are grateful for each day. Because of this challenge, I decided to start a gratitude journal. Each night, I write one thing I am grateful for and five reasons why. I can already tell a difference in my attitude. It really puts things in perspective–making you realize just how much you have to be grateful for, even on bad days.

Last night I wrote about how grateful I am for Beachbody. Honestly, being a coach has changed my outlook on life. For one, I have met some of the most inspirational people ever. I am a part of an amazing group of women and men who devote their time to helping others. They inspire me to be the best version of myself. Being on such an incredible team has also introduced me to this gratitude challenge. Other coaches have shared their stories and successes with running gratitude accountability groups. The results their challenges have had amaze me. I also have had the chance to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones through challenge groups.

When someone thanks me for promoting a healthy mind, body and spirit, or when someone shares how they notice a difference in their health, weight, or attitude from being in my accountability groups, it seriously gives me butterflies.

My goal is to help change the lives of others. I want you to gain more confidence in yourself, lose that last 7 lbs, have a better attitude about life, do more push-ups and burpees than you ever thought possible, eat cleaner and just live an overall healthier lifestyle. Because at the end of the day, everyone (including you!) deserves to feel their best.

More than anything, I want you to have a happy, healthy heart and be grateful for what you have, everyday ❤️
